May 11, 2006 I want to take the time, on this page, to thank and honor all of those who have donated their time, their expertise and much more. I have been blessed with dog food donations, dog supplies, equipment loans for special shows, web space and hosting, web design, people that donate their time in helping care for the dogs, people who will actually dog sit for me when I go to local and state shows to spread the word and enlist adoptive families and increase awareness. Now, it’s time for me to show all of you that sometimes it just takes money. We have 4 dogs who need heartworm treatment, and one dog who has undergone hip surgery. These expensive treatments and surgeries cost money. We also undergo a tremendous expense with regard to simple spay and neutering. Over a year ago, Southeast Border Collie Rescue League adopted puppies as a direct result from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. While the citizens of our sister states recover and rebuild from such a catastrophe, Southeast Border Collie Rescue helped in anyway we could. We don’t want to turn our backs on or allow any Border Collie to be abandoned. The smallest donation is appreciated as much as the largest, because it’s all about caring and helping each other. I have developed an extensive and incredibly flexible Sponsorship Donations Program, and ask that you give a kind donation of your choice. Over the next few weeks, you will begin to see this Sponsorship Program become more and more informative. We have created several categories and will be identifying which border collies qualify for specific sponsorship. I look forward to seeing your feedback. Thank you, Jerri Carter |

It is uncommon for Southeast Border Collie Rescue to place a border collie with young children. If you would like to adopt a border collie, and have young children, please refer to the Adoptions page before contacting us. |

A Heartfelt Request Statistics Show an average of 500 people visit this website daily. If every person could donate $5.00 to our shelter, we could not only recover the loss from expensive treatments and surgeries, but we could continue to uphold our standards in ways we never thought possible. If you love the Border Collie Breed, but can not adopt, Please Donate. |
